Mai Tuyet Pho, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health at the University of Chicago and a Medical Advisor for Healthcare Policy and Research at the Illinois Department of Public Health. Her current projects include understanding the shifting epidemiology of HCV and opioid overdose, harm reduction expansion for people who use drugs in rural communities, linkage to care at reentry for criminal-legal involved individuals, and economic evaluation of HCV and HIV screening and treatment strategies. Pho’s work has been funded by NIDA, CDC, and AHRQ. She is also a Third Coast CFAR Administrative Supplement recipient.
