Event Details

The NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy that took effect on January 25, 2023, applies to all NIH-funded research that generates scientific data, regardless of funding mechanism. Compliance with this policy requires submission of a Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP) with the funding application, outlining the plan for managing, preserving, and sharing project data. On June 5, 2023, the Third Coast CFAR’s BSIS Core offered an online workshop with Sara Gonzales, MS, MLIS, from the Galter Health Sciences Library at Northwestern University, who presented information about the new NIH policy and provided recommendations for creating a compliant DMSP.
