THIRD COAST CENTER FOR AIDS RESEARCH 2018 ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM

Thursday, November 1, 2018          8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Gordon Center for Integrative Science, The University of Chicago

Symposium Overview

Join us for the Third Coast Center for AIDS Research 2018 Annual Symposium Ending the HIV Epidemic: Think Globally, Act Locally. This multidisciplinary symposium will draw important connections between HIV research in global settings and the lessons researchers can apply to their domestic work. Examples of the “global to local” approach will include innovations in HIV testing, prevention and care, as well as implementation science approaches to scale up of new interventions, and the role of research on non-communicable diseases and HIV.

Ambassador Deborah L. Birx, United States Global AIDS Coordinator will provide a keynote lecture on the scale up of HIV treatment through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) programs.
