The Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science (CDIS) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks two full-time faculty, one in the Investigator (tenure-eligible) Track and one in the Team Scientist track, both at the rank of assistant or associate professor.

CDIS is looking for individuals with cross-cutting methodological and design expertise in areas that may include, but are not limited to: designing interventions with an eye towards implementation; identification of contextual determinants; matching of contextual determinants to implementation strategies; design and execution of hybrid effectiveness-implementation trials; specification and evaluation of multi-component implementation strategies; and evaluation of real-world implementation using novel study designs and analytical strategies. Candidates in both tracks should have experience selecting and applying leading implementation science theories, frameworks, or models, as well as experience applying a suite of methods including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches.

The investigator track is ideal for individuals who seek to spend the majority of their time in extra-mural research with the intent to develop independent research portfolios. Applicants in this track should have a demonstrated track record of obtaining independent funding, commensurate with experience. The team scientist track is ideal for individuals who seek to provide critical expertise to a program or group of research teams and who prefer to spend the majority of their time in co-investigator or collaborative roles. Individuals on the team scientist track are not required to pursue independent grant funding, though faculty on this track may choose to serve as principal investigator on research projects and such endeavors are supported.

Qualified candidates in both tracks will hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field and have substantial experience in dissemination and/or implementation science research. Candidates in both tracks will be expected to form research collaborators within the Feinberg School of Medicine and across Northwestern University, and will have ample opportunities to support the training of staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Applications are encouraged from diverse applicants. CDIS is committed to supporting faculty to work in an increasingly diverse society by promoting equity and justice for all individuals, actively working to eliminate barriers and obstacles created by institutional discrimination. CDIS has a central objective to advance equitable implementation in order to enhance the health and well-being of historically marginalized populations. Commitment to promoting an environment of inclusive excellence permeates interactions and activities with faculty, trainees, and staff.

Start dates are negotiable and positions will remain open until filled. For questions or more information, please email the search chair, Dr. Sara Becker.
