The Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH) is seeking a Data Assistant Associate to work across numerous projects within its CONNECT Research Program.

The Complex Systems and Health Disparities (CONNECT) Research Program within ISGMH is focused around elucidating the complex mechanisms driving the health disparities of stigmatized populations, in particular gender and sexual minorities. The program is directed by Michelle Birkett, PhD, and Patrick Janulis, PhD (Associate Director) and houses several NIH-funded studies that seek to further understanding on how contextual and multilevel factors influence health outcomes through the use of complex modeling – including network analysis and simulation – as well as by building tools to improve the collection and measurement of complex data for social and behavioral health research.

The ideal candidate will be interested in working within a transdisciplinary space aimed at building communication and linkages across a variety of diverse stakeholders in data science and public health. In addition to working across NIH grants within CONNECT, this position will contribute to programming efforts of the lab itself, which may include speaker series, workshops, white papers, and other community-engaged activities.
