Join Howard Brown’s Center for Education, Research and Advocacy for the sixth Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium (MLHS) on September 16-17, 2020 at Malcolm X College in Chicago, IL. The Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium brings together over 500 healthcare professionals, social service providers, advocates and researchers to highlight innovative practices in LGBTQ patient-centered clinical care as well as community-driven approaches to addressing health disparities. This year, the Planning Committee is excited to gather passionate healthcare professionals to join in sharing advances in LGBTQ Health and Wellness for this year’s theme, “Being Healthy is a Radical Act.”  The MLHS 2020 keynote speakers are Imani Rupert-Gordon, Executive Director of National Center for Lesbian Rights and Shannon Weber, MSW Founder and Director of PleasePrEPMe.

The MLHS Call for Abstracts will be open through June 1, 2020.

Speakers and participants will explore critical topics in the field such as HIV elimination, racial equity in LGBTQ care, and reproductive justice, to work together towards meaningful change.  In light of the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Planning Committee is prepared for the possibility of having to adapt to a virtual conference.  Take advantage of early bird pricing through June by registering on the MLHS 2020 website.
