Howard Brown Health (HBH) is seeking a passionate and organized research professional to serve as Research Project Coordinator. HBH exists to eliminate the disparities in healthcare experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people through research, education and the provision of services that promote health and wellness. As part of HBH’s Center for Education, Research and Advocacy, this individual will work closely with the Social & Behavioral Research team to implement and maintain research studies that align with the agency’s mission and values.
This individual will work in large part on one study relating to the transmission of Syphilis among young Chicago area men who have sex with men and another that aims to help patients better understand and use their health insurance or, in absence of health insurance, how to continue accessing healthcare.
This individual should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or related work experience, experience managing/overseeing a clinically-embedded research project, excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, and passion for working with the LGBTQ community.
This position may include some evening and weekend hours and will be based primarily on the South Side of Chicago at our Hyde Park and Englewood locations.
