Position Title: Research Assistant Professor-Professor (open rank) – Infectious Diseases (HIV)

The University of Chicago’s Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health, seeks qualified applicants for full-time Research Assistant Professor-Professor positions to perform collaborative research in HIV prevention and implementation science within the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (http://hivelimination.uchicago.edu). The candidate will join an outstanding group of quantitative implementation scientists who apply state-of-the-art analytic methods to a broad range of research, including epidemiology, biostatistics, mathematical modeling, network analysis and science, and cost-effectiveness analyses. The successful candidate will complement these existing areas of strength and work across several trans-disciplinary and collaborative units at the University of Chicago working towards HIV elimination. These include the School of Social Services Administration, National Opinion Research Center, Third Coast Center for AIDS Research, Department of Sociology, Argonne National Laboratory, and the Harris School of Public Policy Studies. The candidate will contribute critical expertise to ongoing community-based research and work closely with implementation programs working in the South Side communities in Chicago.

The primary activity of the Research Assistant Professor-Professor is academic research in association with a faculty member or team. Applicants must possess a doctoral degree in the quantitative social sciences, statistics or biostatistics, public health, biological sciences, or related disciplines. Publication record and contributions to grants will be considered. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in study design and primary data collection as well as network analysis.
