Third Coast CFAR is pleased to announce Requests for Applications for two new pilot awards: 1) Pilot Awards for HIV/AIDS Research, and 2) Community Collaborative Pilot Awards

PILOT AWARDS FOR HIV/AIDS RESEARCH

Pilot awards are intended for key preliminary studies in HIV-related basic, clinical, or behavioral research that will enable new NIH grant submissions and to stimulate cross-institutional and/or cross-disciplinary collaborations. A proposal must be for a new project or idea that is distinct from any currently funded project.

Funds Available: $50,000
Letter of Intent Due: February 8, 2016
Application Due: February 29, 2016
Award Notification: April 2016

COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE PILOT AWARDS

These awards support innovative, partnered HIV-related research between community not-for-profit organizations and CFAR faculty members.  The majority of funds typically support the community unit to underwrite cost of the research and development of an NIH application.

Application Due: February 29, 2016
Award Notification: April 2016
