The webinar is part of an ongoing series which occurs on the first Monday of alternating months and is moderated by Patrick Sullivan, PhD (Emory CFAR) and Kenneth Mayer, MD (Harvard CFAR). The Inter-CFAR Antiretrovirals for Prevention Working Group was created to facilitate the sharing of new knowledge regarding the use of antiretrovirals to control the domestic and global HIV epidemic. The next session is February 2, 2026.

About the Presenter

Monica Gandhi, MD, MPH is a Professor of Medicine and Associate Chief in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She is also the Director of the UCSF CFAR and the Medical Director of the HIV Clinic (“Ward 86”) at San Francisco General Hospital. She serves as the Associate Program Director of the Infectious Diseases fellowship at UCSF. Her research focuses on HIV treatment and prevention optimization, HIV and women, adherence measurement in HIV and TB, adherence interventions, and on optimizing the use of long-acting antiretroviral therapy (ART).
