Dr. Sundararajan is an Assistant Professor in the Weill Cornell Department of Emergency Medicine and Weill Cornell Center for Global Health. She is an Anthropologist and board-certified Emergency Physician who conducts mixed methods research on engagement with HIV care among adults in low resource settings, including Mozambique, Uganda, and Tanzania. Her current work is funded by the National Institutes of Health and focuses on expanding access to HIV testing among communities who utilize informal healthcare providers, such as traditional healers. Dr. Sundararajan’s research interests include medical pluralism, structural violence, health disparities, and implementing healthcare interventions.
