Join Howard Brown’s Center for Education, Research and Advocacy on October 6th and 7th for our 3rd annual Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium at the JW Marriott on 151 W Adams Street. At this year’s Symposium, LGBTQ healthcare providers and advocates will showcase lessons learned and other innovative sexual health and HIV prevention programs. At the Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium, we will share evidence-based practices and engage in rigorous discussion around our theme, “Breaking the Stigma.” Each track is structured to deepen your existing expertise and provide insight into new developments and research in LGBTQ healthcare.
The symposium features six tracks, providing an in-depth exploration on best practices in the following areas:
- LGBTQ Foundations
- LGBTQ Advanced Care
- LGBTQ Education and Research
- Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Health – endorsed by WPATH!
- Legal, Policy and Advocacy
- Programmatic Support (For Howard Brown Health staff only)
The Midwest LGBTQ Health Symposium is intended to support the network of affirming healthcare providers, researchers and advocates from across the country. Together, we can create a healthcare system that is sensitive to and informed about the needs of LGBTQ people. For a complete program and registration information go to howardbrown.org/MLHS2017
