Kimberly Stanford, MD, MPH, FACEP, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Her academic interests focus on the use of the emergency department visit to address the social determinants of health, including infectious diseases, sexual and reproductive health, homelessness, and human trafficking. Dr. Stanford coordinates the HIV and syphilis screening programs in the emergency department and serves as the Director of ED HIV/STI testing for the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination (CCHE).
David Pitrak, MD, FIDSA, is the Chief of Infectious Diseases and Global Health at the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM). He is an active clinician, attending on both the General and Immuno-compromised Host Consult Service. He also attends outpatient clinics for patients with HIV infection, as well as those seronegative patients at risk for HIV infection. He also cares for patients with other acquired immune-deficiencies and patients with primary immune deficiencies as well.
