This Community Conversation with Harold, founding overall Father of the House of Balenciaga, will address the history of Ballroom, what Ballroom represents, where Ballroom has been, where Ballroom is going, and Ballroom’s connection to HIV prevention.
Harold currently works as Lead Administrator at Prince George’s County Health Department. He is widely respected as a Ballroom icon and for developing templates of leadership and sportsmanship for youth and young adults in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. He is a strong supporter and advocate on issues affecting the Ballroom community, including HIV prevention and awareness, as well as voter registration. Harold has worked on behalf of Us Helping Us, the Carl Vogel Center, and People of Color in Crisis (POCC). Harold is an honoree of the Oasis Company and the DC Mayor’s Office for Exceptional Service to the LGBTQ Youth of the DC Metropolitan Area.
